Food was very good. Place was packed on a Saturday afternoon, but we were seated quickly. Nice sized drink menu. We had the fried chicken, which was good but I do wish it was a bit crisper. The hush puppies were amazing , and the collard greens were good too Very fun place.
Our first time to Eagle and it was flawless! Fame was expertly prepared, served hot, fresh, and fast. Biscuits are to die for, the chicken perfectly brined and fried. Southern style green beans were melting in our mouths. Homemade mashed potatoes were perfectly lumpy and creamy at the same time smothered in house made chicken gravy. My only regret is that we didnt come here sooner.
First time visiting the restaurant but we will definitely be coming again. The food was sooooo good, we even got take out with full bellies! Timothy was our waiter. He was great and very nice. We appreciated everyone's service.
The Eagle was such a great restaurant! My husband and I were visiting Cincinnati for the Bengals game and we got snowed in! Our AirBnb was across the street from Eagle so we ended up having dinner there Saturday and Sunday. The drumsticks were amazing especially with the hot honey! The mac and cheese is one dish you must order, it was delicious! The Blackberry Lemonade and Bourbon Punch were perfect. The service is amazing and this place is a GEM!
Man what a meal. The chicken was great, sides were kicken and drinks were smooth. Try the hot honey sauce I liked it on the corn bread. Found this place online by the other reviews and I’m glad we went. The staff were great no issues and even had some coloring pages and crayons for the kiddos. Parking was a block down the street and was $6 an hour not bad,
This place is hands-down one of the best soul food spots around. The portions are generous, the plates are well worth it, and you can truly tell they put their foot in it—every bite is seasoned with care, tradition, and flavor that hits just right. The food is comforting, rich, and satisfying in the way soul food should be. Nothing felt rushed or skimpy; everything was prepared with intention and pride. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal, celebrating something special, or just want food that feels like home, this spot delivers every time. I would highly recommend this place for any occasion, casual meals, family gatherings, or when you simply want good food done right. This is the kind of place you come back to again and again.
My family raved about The Eagle OTR, so the next time we were in town, they took me to try the fried chicken. I ordered the BBQ Pork Burnt Ends as an appetizer and two pieces of chicken with collard greens as my side. First, the burnt ends were tasty. The sauce was sweet and enhanced the flavor of the meat. When my dinner came, I started with the side dish, as I always do. If a restaurant takes the time to create delicious side dishes, you know the main course is going to be great as well. My collard greens were good, but a bit under-seasoned for my tastebuds. I would have preferred more pepper, but I can't ding the rating over a personal preference. The chicken itself was underwhelming. I give it a 3.5 rating while the appetizer and side dish were a solid 4.0. The service was good despite the place being packed with more guests waiting outside. All in all, The Eagle is a nice place to enjoy a meal.
Really cool, festive, and energetic environment, Marick provided friendly and fabulous hospitality and service. Fried chicken and mac & cheese to die for. Had the BLT fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious as well as well proportioned and prepared. Fried Chicken Mac & cheese
